I grow slowly and simply, right here in the field behind my home. No chemicals, no digging, no rush — just plants with character, grown for people and planted for pollinators.
You’ll find a mix of foliage, shrubs, grasses and flowers that feel alive: seasonal, a little wild, and always cut fresh with care. I keep things small on purpose — local, sustainable, and rooted in the seasons.
I’m Emily – a writer, mother, and flower-and-foliage grower.
When my family left the army and settled in Devon, I finally had soil of my own. Planting, tending, and learning the names of flowers became a way to steady myself after the upheaval of early motherhood. Small acts that slowly rooted me back into the present.
For me, writing and gardening are inseparable: both ask for patience, attention, and the courage to shape something living from what’s around you.
Through Ravensfield, I want to share that same sense of beauty and wildness — whether it’s a bucket of seasonal stems for a wedding, foliage for a florist, or flowers simply for your home. And while I grow for people, I’m always planting for pollinators.
